Carlos Manuel de Almeida Brandão

He graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1991) and received his PhD in Medicine (Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery) from the University of São Paulo (2001). He currently works as a surgeon in the Valvular Heart Disease Surgical Unit and is Supervisor of the Emergency Surgical Unit at the Heart Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas, School of Medicine, University of São Paulo. He has experience in Medicine, with an emphasis on Cardiovascular Surgery, working mainly in the following areas of Valvular Heart Disease Surgery: mitral valve repair, valve prostheses, minimally invasive valve surgery and valve reoperations.
