He holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (1997), a master’s degree (2001) and a doctorate (2003) in Sciences (Experimental Pathophysiology) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, and a post-doctorate in Pharmacology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (2008). He completed a research internship at UKM (Universitaet Muenster), Germany. He is currently a scientific researcher at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP – LIM/11. He has experience in Surgery, with an emphasis on Biomaterials, and in the area of Pathophysiology of Inflammation, working mainly in the following topics: endothelial cells, local and systemic inflammation, female sex hormones, and the lymphatic system.
